MISSION STATEMENT
"To help each child develop to his fullest potential by following each child through observation and helping him direct his own growth
spiritually, emotionally,
intellectually, and physically, by providing a prepared environment that is designed to meet
the child's needs."

Do Something GREAT! Participate in the Montessori Children's House PTA!

Our mission includes building community within our school family, facilitating communication between parents and between parents and teachers, supporting each other, fundraising, and promoting Montessori, principles.

We Need You!
While we were excited to see so many parents at our last meeting and we would love to see many more parents at the next one! One thing we all share is a passion for our children and their education. Let's work together to make MCH the very best environment for our children!

PTA Members Need Help
PTA members suggested a long list of projects that the PTA can do to help MCH. In addition to the family directory, we would like to produce a monthly news letter that includes information about upcoming events, holidays, and topics of study. We would also like to organize monthly social gatherings like picnics, skating parties, or bowling nights, participate in material-making workshops to assist the teachers, organize a School Beautification Day, organize a monthly Parent's Night Out babysitting night and a babysitting cooperative, and maintain and expand our fabulous website and do fundraising for designated special projects for the classrooms. With such a long and varied list of projects, there are lots of opportunities to volunteer! Do any of these ideas sound interesting? Do you have any special talents? Do you have other ideas of ways to support the school? We need your help to make this organization effective. We'd love to see you at the meeting next month!

Gifting our Classrooms
Every month, we would like to pick a school supply that our classrooms consistently need and have a mini "drive" to restock the school shelves! In future months, we will ask the teachers to designate a supply that's running especially low.

Optional PTA Dues
We don't want to prevent anyone from participating in the MCH PTA because of financial pressures. However, we know that we will incur some costs, such as the printing and distribution of the newsletter. To defray these initial expenses, we voted to institute a voluntary $5 annual dues.

Be a part of your child's education. The Montessori Children's House PTA is a great place to start!
