A. OBJECTIVE
Members should be able to leave their children without concern over the children's welfare and without financial restrictions. What could be more wonderful than having a group of your children’s friends’ and classmates’ families to call on to watch your child?

B. SATURDAY NIGHT BABYSITTING
On the FIRST SATURDAY of every month from 5:00-9:00 p.m. there will be babysitting provided at one of the member’s homes. This is free and open at all families in the MCH Babysitting Coop. There will be at least four parents working at each of these Saturday night babysitting sessions. A MCH Babysitting Coop newsletter will be sent home each month with the names of the parents working and the address and directions to the home where the babysitting will be held. This information will also be available on the Babysitting Coop Page of the MCH website: http://www.bgmontessori.com.

C. BABYSITTING COUPONS
Each family will be distributed 10 babysitting coupons per child in their family. Each coupon will be worth 1 hour of babysitting for one child. Feel free to call any member of the babysitting coop for childcare. Pay them with these coupons. When you run out, it is time to do some childcare yourself. A directory of all families in the coop will be published and distributed to all of the families. This directory will include children’s names and ages and times that parents are available to baby-sit.

D. GENERAL RULES
1. Avoid using the Babysitting Coop if your children have any contagious illness.
2. Whenever possible, inform the sitter where you are going and leave a telephone number.
3. Except in an emergency, the sitter shall not transport the children without permission.
4. No medication is to be given without written instructions from the parent.
5. Children should be given loving care and proper supervision. Watch other people's children very carefully.
